Song of the day

::ahem:: Jeez it's been a long time, I know I have abandoned the blog for quite sometime. I apologize! Dont know what made me log on, but I do know that I almost forgot my password, and my username. Anywho, I'm here with the song of the day, it's by Fastball and it's called "They Way".... Duh it says it on the video.....but i was just thinking back to when I was 11 yrs old and and when I first got cable, this video was on heavy rotation. Enough chit chat....

Song of the day

This video takes me back to watching the box with my older sisters..... Life was good, music was good, and the close were even better, i little ridiculous but better.

Song of the day

I seriously had this song in my head, I go on yahoo, and who's on the first page? The Deftones. I took that as a sign to make this song of the day. I used to like this song but I never knew the artist name, or the title of the song. Someone recommended it and to my surprise it was this song! I was reunited with this song, and it's been a match made in heaven. It has beautiful lyrics! I hate the video but, the song is still kick ass. Enjoy

Song Of The Day

Hands down this is my favorite stage that Madonna went through. Her hair, make-up, clothes, music, and the famous "SEX" book. This to me was Madonna's most liberating stage, she did what she wanted, how she wanted, and with whom ever she wanted. This woman is always reinventing herself, and she does it with such confidence, and poise. No one can deny that Madonna is THAT BITCH!

Song of Day

This song and video right here reminds me of when I first got cable, and VH1 top ten countdowns. This was when VH1 played nothing but indie music, and there were no reality shows. Those days are so gone. But anyway here you go, Natalie Imbruglia with "Torn".

And with that post I bring you song of the day.... who else but John Lennon. One of the saddest songs he's written, and it's literally bringing butterflies to my stomach while I'm listening to it.

Song of the day 10/16/09

Always thought it was weird to see Missy with a man in any of her videos. This was prob the stage in my life when I listened to hip hop non stop. Music def changed a lot, and I dont wanna say it changed for the worst, cause there's still good stuff out there. Ah well "Give me money, buy me clothes" lmfao.

Red Hot Chili Peppers BAM! I had a crush on the lead singer when i was younger, and i kinda still do. This video was my favorite from them, it's really bright, and random. Enjoy

This song? Hmmm, I don't know if this was a huge hit but I used to love this song and the dude that singing it. The band of course is the Wallflowers, the lead singer is Jakob Dylan, son of Bob Dylan
Photobucket
A singer mostly known for his work in the 60's. He still performs till this day, and he was rumored to have introduced The Beatles to marijuana. But that's a whole other story.... Let's bring it back up to the 90's- a decaded we all remember. Here is it, enojoy!

Song of the day 08/30/09

Roll Up! Roll up for the mystery tour!

Today's song, well all I can do is shake my head, literally. The song is from a band called The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, and the song is called "Deathcab For Cutie". The performance of course is from The Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour" film shown on television in 1967. John and George are the two men sitting in front in the beginning.

Song of the day 08/03/09

Everyone knows Limp Bizkit kinda fell off once Wes Borland left the group. This song was from their album "Significant Other" in 1999, their best in my opinion....

Song of the day 7/16/09

Bad ass band, bad ass song. And if you never heard any music from The Mars Volta I suggest you look them up. Dudes voice is something different, havent heard someone sing like him, he kind of cry/sings. Don't know if those two go together but ah well you'll see.... So without further delay this is The Mars Volta with "The Widow"

Song of the day 7/09/09

So ummm I really dont have a back story for this song, but I do want to dedicate this to my friend Nina. It's a kick ass song, it was 1984 and the short shorts are bad ass! Who wouldn't love George Michael with high lights, and a "choose life" tee?

Song of the day 6/17/09

No words, only that when I was younger I hated this video, but the song is kick ass.

Song of the day 6/2/09

This one's a oldie and Betty's song... It's The Zombies with "Tell her no", released in 1964. Made it to #46 in the Uk charts, and #4 in the U.S. charts. Guess that goes to show we have good taste in music. They're kind of similar to The Beatles (physically! Not musically). But anyhow, it's a good song, very mellow, and smooth. don't mind the singers face in the beginning, don't know what that expression's about.

IMX popped in my head today, don't know why. I wouldn't dare play myself and post one of their videos BUT! I will post a Immature video, the earlier, better, pre-washed up version of IMX. This was my favorite song from them, and yes it is on my ipod.

I can totally ignore the fact that they took pics together in their undies....

GOOD MORNING BROOKLYNNNNNN!!!! I tried to say that before noon hit. Mission Accomplished. ::Pats self on the back:: Now for song of the day. I actually went out and BOUGHT the cd cause of this one song, and I have to say it was a good investment. This was when I felt different around my neighborhood, cause I was the only one blasting this shit, and everyone thought i was weird, now look, everyone's a "rocker, punk, skater, etc".... I kinda lost interest in this band a few years back. The music changed. But anywho here it is....

Story of The Year with "Until the day I die"

Song of the day 5/16/09

I'm upset Eric Clapton doesn't have a video for "Layla"...... This song came on after that, and I knew for sure this group had a video for it. The Animals "House of the rising sun", Dudes voice is killer! He has that swollen "i just woke up" face, I kind like that. But only on him. Someone on the grammy's sang the chorus to one of their songs, and mixed up like 2 words, urks me till this day. anywho enjoy.
