Why do people get married?

This question is always on my mind...Like how do you know you want to spend the rest of your life with this one person? Like what does this one person possess that has you wanting to see them everyday waking up to them EVERYDAY Having that legal bond lol or in my words "The Legal form of Slavery". Once you get married its a wrap your not able to do the things you want to do and if you are still allowed to do anything it's limited.But I'm guessing thats the same shit when it comes to a plain relationship? hmmmm... Like I'm not knocking those who are married but I'm just saying why can't you just stay with someone for a very long time instead of going through the courts and all this extra ish. Spending money for a ring...blahzay blahzay and if shit goes sour Divorce is notttt cheap!!
